But CCP is playing the EVE Mobile ISK game, not just relying upon their own storytellers, but also seeding in the community who make the significant events which have formed New Eden since 2003.
While killing one pirate in EVE may not have overarching consequences to the fantastic Empires of New Eden, the simple fact that in any time a new event might be stumbled upon accidentally, or a sheet of cargo could begin a rabbit hole that results in a new danger -- the fact that at any given instant something you interact with may have consequences down the line creates every interaction in EVE Online more purposeful.
EVE Online Player Nabs $60,000 Worth in Things
Well, it seems like one participant in EVE Online has nabbed over $60,000 worth of items.
Going by the title Sulley, this wasn't some easy effort. According to PC Gamer, Sulley spent a complete month organizing a"marauding marathon" that involved the destruction of 32 player-owned channels. These channels had been nested in Hisec. Many of those stations had several things of value, as is to be anticipated. This channel was possessed by players called Future Tech Industries. Apparently, this led the crew into a historic loot of 4 trillion ISK values in things. This converts to roughly $60,000.
This sort of cassette was possible due to some recent developments made to EVE Online by developer CCP with respect to the mechanics of player-built distance stations. Hats off to Sulley and crew.In case you overlooked it, CCP declared two particular in-game events kicking off on June 9, called Gathering Storm and Lightning Strikes. You can read up on the details of the events here.
